Funny what some people would consider a waste of time.
So this happened.
In her “Talk” Q&A in on the last page of The New York Times Magazine, Congresswoman Maxine Waters had this to say:
Q: If you could have a private conversation with Trump, what would you say to him?
A: I would not waste my time.
Go ahead and read that again. We’ll wait.
How you respond to that answer pretty much sums up where you stand:
Is it a smart, defensible and progressive position? Or do you hear it as dismissive and uncooperative?
And before you answer that, consider this: How would you feel if the same question had been posed to a Republican Senator or member of Congress in the summer of 2009 about holding a private conversation with President Obama, and received the same answer?
A thought: Careful of that bubble you’re in. It’s fragile.
